Birsa Munda Krishi Kranti Yojana (Tribal Sub Plan / Tribal Sub Plan External)

The Birsa Munda Krishi Kranti Yojana is being implemented by the State Department of Agriculture for the tribal farmers to increase the economic income of the farmers by providing sustainable irrigation facilities as well as maintaining the soil moisture.

Grants

Under this scheme new well (Rs. 2.50 lakhs), old well repair (Rs. 50 thousand), in well boring (Rs. 20 thousand), pump set (Rs. 20 thousand), power connection size (Rs. 10 thousand), farms On plastic lining (Rs. 1 lakh) and micro-irrigation set (drip irrigation set-Rs. 50,000 or sprinkler set-Rs. 25 thousand), PVC pipe (Rs. 30 thousand), a kitchen garden (Rs. 500). Grants are permissible. The scheme is being implemented in all the districts of the state except Mumbai, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Satara, Sangli, and Kolhapur.

Eligibility

Beneficiaries are required to be in the Scheduled Tribes category.
The beneficiary is required to submit a valid caste certificate.
It is mandatory to submit the transcript of 7/12 and 8-A of the land.
The annual income limit of the beneficiaries should be within the limit of Rs. 1.5 lakhs.
Proof of income is mandatory.
Beneficiary’s landholding is mandatory to be 0.20 hectare to 6 hectares (minimum 0.40 hectare for new well).
Once the full benefit of the scheme is taken, the benefit of the scheme is not payable to the same beneficiary or family for the next 5 years.

Required documents

For new wells:

1) A valid certificate of caste
2) Excerpt of 7/12 and 8-A
3) Proof of income
4) Beneficiary’s affidavit (on stamp paper of Rs. 100/500)
5) Certificate if disabled
6) Certificate from Talathi – Certificate of Common Total Retention Area (0.40 to the 6-hectare limit); Certificate of no well; Proof that the proposed well is more than 500 feet away from a pre-existing well; Proposed Well Survey No. Map and boundaries.
7) Certificate of water availability from the groundwater survey development system.
8) Field inspection and recommendation letter of Agriculture Officer (Vighayo)
9) Recommendation letter from the Group Development Officer
10) Photo of the place where the well is to be taken (with important mark and with the beneficiary).
11) In. Certificate of non-benefit from the scheme implemented by the Project Officer, Tribal Development Project from the funds provided under the Special Central Assistance to the Central Government (SCA), and Section 275 (A) of the Constitution.
12) Resolution of Gram Sabha.

For Old Well Repair / Inval Boring:

1) Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate / Caste Validity Certificate from the competent authority.
2) Annual Income Certificate of the previous year from Tehsildar (up to Rs. 1,50,000 / -) or Certificate of Below Poverty Line / BPL Card (if applicable).
3) Updated 7/12 certificate of landholding and 8A transcript.
4) Resolution of Gram Sabha.
5) Certificate from Talathi – Certificate regarding total retention area (0.20 to the 6-hectare limit); Certificate of well being; Proposed Well Survey No. Map and boundaries.
6) Beneficiary’s bond (on stamp paper of Rs. 100/500).
7) Field inspection and recommendation letter of Agriculture Officer (Vighayo)
8) Recommendation letter from the Group Development Officer
9) Photo before the commencement of work on the well on which old well repair / in well boring work is to be carried out (with important markings and with the beneficiary)
10) Feasibility report from Groundwater Survey Development Agency for Inkwell Boring.
11) Certificate if disabled
12) In. A certificate that the project officer, Tribal Development Project has not availed the benefit of the scheme implemented from the funds provided under the Special Central Assistance (SCA) of the Central Government and Section 275 (A) of the Constitution.

For farm lining / power connection size / micro irrigation system:

1) Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate / Caste Validity Certificate from the competent authority.
2) Annual income certificate of the previous year from the tehsildar. (Up to Rs. 1,50,000 / -) or BPL card (if applicable).
3) Updated 7/12 certificate of landholding and 8A transcript.
4) Proof of total retention area from Talathi. (0.20 to the 6-hectare range)
5) Recommendation/approval of Gram Sabha
6) The guarantee regarding completion of farm lining (on stamp paper of Rs. 100/500)
7) Photo before starting work (with important markings)
8) Guarantee regarding lack of electrical connection and electric pump set
9) In. Certificate of non-benefit from the scheme implemented by the Project Officer, Tribal Development Project with special Central Assistance (SCA) from the Central Government and funds provided under Section 275 (A) of the Constitution.
10) A photocopy of the proposed farm measurement booklet and a copy of the estimate should be signed by the concerned Board of Agriculture Officer as per the measurements in the measurement book.
