National Food Security Mission: Foodgrains, Oilseeds, Sugarcane and Cotton

Mechanization will help in the timely completion of field operations, improving the efficacy of field operations, increasing cropping intensity, and economize the cost of cultivation.

Weeds pose a major problem in rice; especially those planted with the SRI technique/Direct Seeded Rice.
Mechanical control of weeds along with chemicals is an effective option.

The time available for the sowing of wheat following rice is limited particularly in rainfed/partially irrigated areas.
The delayed sowing of wheat leads to a significant reduction in its yield.

The use of seed drills for planting wheat/pulses/coarse cereals enables farmers to cover a large area in a short period and utilization of residual soil moisture.

Besides, seed drill sowing leads to uniform crop stand and row spacing which require less quantity of seed and facilitates inter-culture operations.

Tractor drawn rotavator or turbo seeder pulverizes the soil, chops, and mixes crop residues in the soil.

The farm implements, particularly rotavator, turbo seeder, seed drill, multi-crop planter, and multi-crop harvester should conform to ISI standards or certified by Farm Machinery Training & Testing Institutes of Government of India, CIAE, Bhopal or SAUs.

Eligibility

For Food Grains –
Farmer should have Aadhaar Card
Farmer should have a 7/12 certificate and 8–A certificate.
For beneficiaries belonging to SC, ST caste category valid caste certificate is mandatory.

The benefit of subsidy can only be availed for one equipment per beneficiary from any one scheme.
If there is a tractor in the name of the parents of the family or unmarried member of the same family and if any member of the same family has applied for tractor running device/equipment then he will be eligible for the benefit but he needs to upload proof of having a tractor.

If a farmer has benefitted for any component/equipment then he/she will not eligible to apply the same component/equipment for the next 10 years but he can apply another component.

For Ex- If the farmer has applied “Tractor” for the year 2018-19 then he will not eligible to apply “Tractor” for the next 10 years but from the next year 2019-20 he can apply another component like “Power Tiller”, “Tractor/Power Tiller Operated Machinery”.
Eligibility based on Districts :

i. Rice – Nashik, Pune, Satara, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondiya, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli
ii. Wheat – Solapur, Beed, Nagpur
iii. Pulses – All districts

If a farmer is applying for any component which is coming under the Rice, Wheat, Pulses then above district criteria will be used for the

selected component by the farmer.
(For Example – If farmer selects Rice crop and applying for the Self Propelled Rice Transplanter then only Nashik, Pune, Satara, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondiya, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli districts of the farmer will apply the Self Propelled Rice Transplanter component.)

For Oilseeds –

Ahmednagar, Beed, Latur, Osmanabad, Nanded, Hingoli, Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Washim, Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Nashik, Dhule, Pune, Sangli, Parbhani

It is mandatory that the beneficiary should have oilseed crops in their field.
