Guidelines for the farmers of the state to avoid corona infection in agricultural work
The Department of Agriculture informs that no OP, bank account, Aadhaar, ATM card, and PIN are demanded from the farmer on the phone by any officer or employee of the department. Please avoid such phone calls and never give out confidential information
1. The work of harvesting and rosemary should be completed as soon as possible and for this maximum machine-like reaper less binder, thresher, etc. should be used. When using hand tools and sickles etc., the equipment should be washed thoroughly with soapy water at least three times a day and disinfected. Special cleaning of machine handles, steering should be done.
2. When harvesting and rosemary, keep a distance of at least two meters between each other in the field or on the threshing floor. Know that social distance is the most useful weapon to prevent infection.
3. Workers keep their food utensils separately and wash them thoroughly after eating. Keep the drinking water bottle separate. Each person uses a different harvesting tool. Never use each other’s devices interchangeably.
4. Keep washing your hands with soap and water from time to time during harvest and rosemary.
5. Reuse the clothes worn during harvest and rosemary only after washing and drying them well in the sun.
6. Use mask to cover nose and mouth during harvest and rosemary. Masks prepared by the livelihood group can be used.
7. If a person has symptoms of cold, flu, headache, fever, never use them in harvesting and rosemary work and report the sick person to the nearest health worker.
8. Provide an adequate amount of water and soap in the field and on the threshing floor.
9. Caution is the best way to avoid Kovid-19 (Corona) infection. 100% comply with the instructions given by the Central and State Government from time to time.
10. Crop residue is not to be burnt after harvest. Manage it properly.
