The major objective of PMKSY is to achieve convergence of investments in irrigation at the field level, expand cultivable area under assured irrigation, improve on-farm water use efficiency to reduce wastage of water, enhance the adoption of precision-irrigation and other water saving technologies (More crop per drop), enhance recharge of aquifers and introduce sustainable water conservation practices by exploring the feasibility of reusing treated municipal wastewater for peri-urban agriculture and attract greater private investment in the precision irrigation system.
Benefit
1) Small and Marginal Farmers – 55% subsidy amount is applicable.
2) Other Farmers – 45% subsidy amount is applicable.
Eligibility
The farmer should have an Aadhaar Card.
Farmer should have a 7/12 certificate and 8–A certificate.
If a farmer belongs to SC, the ST caste category then required a caste certificate.
Eligibility of farmers for getting benefit for any particular survey number under this micro irrigation component up to 2016-17 is up to 10 years and 2017-18 onwards is 7 years.
The farmer should have a permanent electric connection for the electrical water pump motor. For this, the farmer should submit a recent copy of the electricity bill.
The micro-irrigation system designed made by the company representative only. The facility is given only for 5 hector area.
After the farmer receives pre-sanction, he/she should purchase the micro-irrigation set from the authorized seller and distributor, install it on the field, and upload invoices of the purchase made within 30 days after receiving pre-sanction.
