Bhausaheb Fundkar Falbag Yojana / Bhausaheb Fundkar Orchard Planting Scheme

1) Bhausaheb Fundkar Horticulture Scheme has been newly started in the state from the year 2018-19. Under this scheme, under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme of the Central Government, the beneficiaries who cannot avail the benefit of orchard cultivation will be given the benefit. The scheme is being implemented by the Agriculture Department of the Government.

2) The sanctioned subsidy to the farmers participating in the scheme will be 50% in the first year, 30% in the second year, and 20% in the third year. The survival rate of the trees planted by the beneficiary farmers to avail the second and third-year subsidy is 90% for horticultural trees and 80% for dryland % Must be kept. If this quantity is reduced, the farmer has to bring the trees at his own cost and maintain the quantity of living trees as prescribed.

3) To participate in this scheme, farmers should have a minimum of 10 guntas and a maximum of 10 guntas in the Konkan region. And in other sections a minimum 20 guntas and a maximum 6 guntas. Can benefit within area limits.

4) Eligible beneficiaries under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme must first avail the benefits as per the norms of the scheme, for the remaining area (subject to the above area limit) the beneficiaries can avail benefits under this scheme.

5) Preference is given to small, marginal landholders, women, and disabled farmers in this scheme.

Grants ( अनुदान )

Under this scheme, a 100 percent subsidy will be given to the beneficiaries for setting up of drip irrigation system.

Eligibility ( पात्रता )

It is mandatory for the beneficiary to install drip irrigation kits for orchard cultivation.
Under all categories, priority will be given to those families whose livelihood depends solely on agriculture, followed by other farmers. (Definition of family: husband, wife, and unknown children)
The benefit is payable to individual farmers. Note payable to institutional beneficiaries.
The farmer must have 7/12 in his own name. In the case of joint ownership, the farmer can avail the benefit within the limits of his share with the consent of other account holders.
If the name of the clan is on 7/12, the consent of the clan is required.
According to the Traditional Forest Residents (Forest Rights Recognition) Act, 2006, forest holders are eligible to avail the benefits.
If orchards have been planted under other government schemes, the farmer can avail the benefits within the area limit as per the above section excluding that area.
